1-General Characteristics
The reparation and recharge of fire extinguishers is a specialty where the verification of the quality of products that have been manufactured becomes very difficult because its characteristics. So, we try to offer to our clients a safety margin in order to create a trust relation between an equipment and safety service supplier and its clients.
a-Working conditions: We have a manufacturing and service plant with an area of 1,500 sq. Meters; a stock of tools, equipment and procedures with IRAM Quality Approval for manufacturing and maintenance of fire extinguishers. We are audited by that Institution in all our production.
b-Technical ability: our staff is carefully selected to give to our clients the service they deserve. Our main concern is to train all the staff from different departments. This area is very important in the company planning.

c-Logistic: the removal or delivery of a fire extinguisher is a very difficult job that requires a deep understanding of the equipment and the risks that its transfer and handling represent.
2- Service for annual maintenance.
This service means the preparation tasks of the equipment in our plant. These tasks are made according to the IRAM Standard No. 3517-2, with IRAM Approval Seal. It covers 100% of our equipment in which we make maintenance service in order to guarantee the fulfillment of the Standard.
In the flow chart below, you can see the tasks made in the maintenance service:
The tasks in the flow chart are correlatives and its making is mandatory and mutually exclusive. It means that any step can be skipped and those that are testing steps are disqualified if they don’t reach the minimum demanded requirements.
3-Subscription maintenance system..
The maintenance and recharging of fire fighting equipment, involve typical problems in the reparation work but there are others specific of this business as well.
The subscription system simplifies the administrative work of the service conferring quality and easy control of the preventive and corrective tasks that the client and its supplier decide.
To get the IRAM quality approval, Melisam S.A. is audited by this Institution in 100% of its production.
All the tasks made in our plant to the fire extinguishers are according to Iram Standard 3517-2 (see flow chart).

What is the added value of the subscription system?
a-For an only monthly payment, all the tasks arranged with the client are made. The annual maintenance service is just only one of these tasks; others come up from the analysis of needs. For example: periodical inspection of the fire extinguishers, cabinets, sprinklers, detectors, hydraulic test of hoses, fire valve reparation, hydrants maintenance, installation of safety signage, etc.
b-The price is inclusive of all parts and reparations the equipment needs for its appropriate operation.
c-Due to the cost is prorated along the contract, the cost calculation is accurate and uniform along the contract duration.
d-There are no disputes about prices or part changes because of the fixed price.
e-The disputes between the client and the supplier will be only about technical matters.
4-Periodical controls
The IRAM Standard 3517-2 specifies mandatory periodical inspections. In these inspections the inventory of the fire extinguishers is took, registering in a form the identifying information of each extinguisher and a visual inspection is done of the main parts that determine its operation and conservation.
The technician who does the control is properly trained for that purpose in order to guarantee the correct information required by the IRAM Standard 3517-2.
5-Fixed Installations Maintenance.
As an added value, we offer corrective and preventive maintenance of fixed installations. Below there are some of them:/p>
a-Hydrant Maintenance.
b-Hose Maintenance.
c-Weighing and revision of CO2 Batteries.
d-Installation Service in the Restaurant cookers.
e-Inspection Service in fire detector installations.
6-Additional Tasks
